April 2021 Update

TxDOT gave final approval of the environmental studies (“Environmental Clearance”) on April 19, 2021. Engineers are taking additional soil samples along the west side of Merritt Road for detailed retaining wall foundation designs.

Ongoing utility work along Merritt Road by Atmos is for gas line improvements. These improvements are to serve additional gas demand for new developments along President George Bush Turnpike. The gas line work is not associated with the Merritt Road improvements project and is being done within existing Merritt Road right of way.
