2019 and 2020 Progress Summary
November 2020: Notice Affording Opportunity for Public Hearing (virtual) was issued.
October 2020: A presentation on the status of Merritt Road was part of the Sachse Council meeting on October 26, 2020.
September 2020: City staff started working with Dallas County to get interim overlay payment improvements constructed to address deteriorating roadway conditions.
June 2020: TxDOT approved a revised schematic that was modified to address applicable public meeting comments.
March 2020: Detailed environmental studies began.
November 2019: A public meeting at Cheri Cox Elementary School was held to present the proposed roadway design.
April 2019: The design team provided a briefing to Sachse City Council on the project start-up and design criteria items.
March 2019: The design team began working on the schematic and environmental studies data collection.
